| | FEBRUARY 29th 2008 | Grey Skull European Tour Dates thus far: April 2nd: Amsterdam @ Oefenruimte in de Binnenpret April 3rd: Brusells (not sure of venue) April 4th: Paris @ Instants Chavires April 5th: Antwerp (not sure of venue) April 6th: Antwerp (Noise Nomads and Defneg) @ Cafe la Campine (maybe) April 7th: Copenhagen ? April 8th: Arhus ? (help with these dates?) April 9th: Den Haag @ Hellbaard get in touch if you can help with the shows on the 7th and 8th, we have someone working on them, but if they fall through we'd be willing to head other places within reasonable distance. The releases haven't been updated yet, but there are a bunch of things that are about to come out and it's bubblin in the bath! The split c30 mixtape w/ DJ Jazzy Jexx and Snack Attack "My BFF's Car" is done, we're just waiting on the artwork. a healthy mix of eff-ed up miami bass beats, pumping thrusts lost in the ether, jams unknown mixed with delicate, fearless, excitement. There's a second Snack Attack mix that's done, just waiting on artwork. Super slowed and sleezed mid 90's digital dancehall instrumentals. nice! The God Willing 'On Dishless Days' cassette is being dubbed, cover art by L.Pak in the works. A release with Sunburned Hand of the Man is getting the 'iron out the details treatment' right now. Could be as early as April or as late as 2012 that it comes out, but i'm pretty excited about the description of the recordings from that lovely 02149 fellow John Moloney. Other upcoming releases by Two Prong, real realy nice clean sweet bear hug style guitar magic; L Rad 7", Keith Waters from dreamhouse bringing down the roof, sheetrock, straping, and stucco straight onto your haircut, covering you in sax, drums, singing, gamelan and a fierce ability to master 'home recording.' Unknown format release by Duper, hartford/myers/pak electronics trio. EVERYTHING ELSE TOO. get in touch! If you're a distro or a friend or someone who reviews stuff and you want things to write about them or buy them or sell them, get in touch. Some worth mentioning mentions on the internets about things related to stuff here. Grey Skull 3" cdr and Cherry Blossoms LP were reviewed kindly in the last issue of Blastitude, one of my fave-o web experiences. Holy Mountain gave a nice heads up to the Tarp 7" in their little daily write up section. The Blues Control record they released last year, hot fuggin damn man, someone somewhere needs to run a utopian community that has birds that chirp that music from the treetops every 25 feet, what a perfect world we could have. Open Mouth Recordings has a WEBSITE up now. it's an excercise in simplicity but hopefully that changes (a flyer gallery? c'mon nace!). The formerly western mass Bezoar Formations re:up'd recently with a comp featuring john shaw (son of earth, apostasy, etc) ripping a REALLY great track similar to the set he played recently at the noise yoga show, definitely worth checking out. Another thing on "the net" worth checking is Jeremy Pisani's AMAZING podcast series (often with conrad capistran) Black Sand a great great great collection of weird ass outsider rock, psych, prog and more. Still applicable: More internet presence. Breaking world has a myspace account now, good for keeping up with live shows (specifically in the western mass area) and new releases. also good for those who like having friends and being online. http://www.myspace.com/breakingworldrecords updated more frequently now: http://www.flickr.com/photos/breakingworld http://www.youtube.com/users/georgewmyers |
